Cody and I had our very first wedding shower yesterday and it was amazing - we had a blast and it was so wonderful to see everyone! Yes, I mean we both had a had shower - how many guys can say that? :) We had almost decided not have a Tallahassee shower because the only time to do it would be the week of Christmas and we figured everyone was just too busy (and broke) with the holidays and everything, but Cody's mom and sister thought it would be a good idea. Boy, was it ever a good idea! We decided to do a couples shower so we could both catch up with friends/family instead of just the female ones and it turned out great. His mom and sister (who both should be nominated as saints for putting up with me during both Christmas AND wedding season) put together the whole thing and it was a blast.
We had the shower at Dorothy B. Oven park in Tallahassee, a beautiful park in the middle of the city (sort of the middle at least) and had both sides of my family, his family and friends too. We had great food, some hilarious games (a newlywed sort of game where we both had to answer questions by what we think the other would say) and of course, cool presents. I hope to have the pictures up shortly (when we get back home). Thanks everyone for coming - we really apprectiate it! And of course, a special thanks to Sara, Rick, Donna for all their hard work putting it together!
