I love it! A close second quote from the same story is "Without her monkey, she's less able to manage normal tasks, such as grocery shopping and dining out[,] because of severe anxiety." I've been saying for years that I need to get a monkey (especially now that I get to grocery shop and dine out with Elizabeth--perhaps the monkey could feed and entertain her and make sure she doesn't wiggle her way out of her seat)! Yes, I know that should not be funny, especially to someone whose dad used to skip family holiday gatherings if the Jack Russell terrier was not welcome. :)
